A little background here ...
About a week ago Max took a drumstick and whacked Ben on the head. It left a black and blue mark and kind of a dent on Ben's head. Today over a cookie at Target, Ben brought the subject back up.
"I don't remember my name," Ben said.
"Huh?," I responded eloquently.
"Remember Max hit me in the head. I don't remember my name, it's Beh .. "
When I pointed out that in fact if he doesn't remember his name, we'd have to take him to the doctor and they'd then have to look at his brain, Ben backed off a bit.
"Oh yeah, my name's Ben," he said. "But you do remember when Max hit me in the head, right?"
How could I forget with him bringing it up every day.
